What Became of Bridget, Mary and William Stanton?
While I have finally confirmed the names and baptismal dates of these two daughters of William Stanton and Mary Denahy, and have discovered William as their third son, cannot yet find what happened to them. William appears to have died in Ireland, and Bridget and Mary do not appear in the 1850 US Census, leading to speculation that they passed away soon after the family arrived at Troy.

SOLVED! Who Was Elizabeth Broderick's Husband?
My g-g-g-grandmother, Elizabeth Broderick, arrived in West Troy, Albany County, NY with her two sons and three daughters in 1848. However, by the 1850 census, the first record of their arrival, she was apparently widowed. Who was her husband, and what became of him? Family tradition has them coming from County Cork, in Ireland, but (unfortunately) no parish information was passed along.
UPDATE - 6/15/2012 - name has been determined. Still to be ascertained is when, where and how he passed away.

SOLVED! Who Stole John Broderick?
My g-g-granduncle, John Broderick, arrived in West Troy, Albany County, NY with his mother, one younger brother and three younger sisters in 1848 from Ireland. However, between the 1855 NY census and the 1860 US census, he disappears. Any leads as to what might have become of him?
UPDATE - 6/14/2012 - John Broderick moved to Janesville, Rock, Wisconsin in the late 1850s, as did his sister, Ellen and her husband. He married, raised a family, and died there in 1894.

SOLVED! Ellen Broderick, Anthony Power and Son Willam Broderick
Ellen Broderick, b. about 1836, married Anthony Power at St. Patrick's parish, West Troy, NY between 1850 and 1854. Their son William was born in 1854, and christened at St. Patrick's on 9 Nov 1854.
They do not appear in the 1855 NY State Census, nor subsequently in or near West Troy.
What became of them?
UPDATE - 6/14/2012 - Ellen and Anthony, her husband, moved to Janesville, Rock, Wisconsin in the late 1850s, as did her brother John. She raised a family there, and she and her husband are buried there. William's situation is still not confirmed, but it appears he died prior to 1860, either in West Troy or in Janesville.
