Richard Kane

Richard Alan Kane , 78, of The Woodlands, Texas passed away on December 30, 2011 in Houston, TX. Richard (Rick) was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Raymond and Mary Kane (both deceased). Rick graduated from the University of Nebraska and proudly served his county in the Korean War in the United States Navy. He also was a founding member of Kairos Prison Ministry in the Houston area and very active in the Walk to Emmaus Community. Rick served as President of the Job Development and Career Counselors National Organization
Rick leaves behind his beloved wife of 14 years, Mary Ann Kane, daughters, Katherine Marie Kane (Dennis) and Karen Lynn Schindler, his son James Gerard Kane (Cherie), step-daughters Diana Deegan, Stacey Gossling (Scott), Page Kerr (John), his sisters Shirley Anne Wicks (Moye), Mary Carolyn McCauley (James), Kathleen "Candy" Edith Cronin (Ernest), brother Stephen Edward Kane (Mary), grandchildren Grant, Cody, Jake and Jeremy Dennis, Travis and Jacob Schindler, Cullen Kane, Nicholas and Chloe Gossling and Sarah Kerr.
Rick's family will be accepting friends in the chapel of Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 from 6 to 8 in the evening where there will a Rosary Vigil at 7:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at 11:00am at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, The Woodlands, Texas with burial to follow at Forest Park The Woodlands Cemetery.
In lieu of customary remembrances, donations to the Montgomery County VFW Post, 1303 W. Semands St, Conroe Texas 77301, are appreciated by the family
