DUNCAN - Lou Jean Schrant, 80, of Duncan, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, at the Columbus Community Hospital.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 1565 18th Ave., Columbus. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. A vigil will be 7 p.m., Tuesday at McKown Funeral Home.
Lou Jean was born Aug. 17, 1929, in Columbus, Nebraska to Joe and Laura (Deegan) Frauendorfer. She graduated from Humphrey St. Francis High School. On Nov. 22, 1950, Lou Jean was united in marriage to Edward Schrant at Sacred Heart Church in Cornlea. The couple lived and farmed in the Humphrey area. She enjoyed taking care of animals.
She is survived by: husband: Edward Schrant of Duncan; son: Jim (Marcia) Schrant of Humphrey; son: Mike (Pat) Schrant of Bellevue; and granddaughter: Jenna Schrant of Humphrey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Laura Frauendorfer.
