Obit. - Alton Purcell -- "Alton Purcell, 58, of Dorchester, Massachusetts, died November 20 at the University Hospital in Boston. Mr. Purcell was the son of the late Mrs. Lila Zea Purcell and Thomas Purcell, Jr. of Cobleskill. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie O'Brien Purcell of Dorchester; three daughters, Deborah of Dorchester, Patricia of Albany, and Diane of Dorchester; one son, Richard of Dorchester; five stepchildren; four brothers, John of Southbridge, MA., Thomas and Francis of Howes Cave, Raymond of Aurora, CO; two sisters, Mrs. Minard (Patricia) McNeil of Cobleskill, Mrs. Leon J. (Retha) Pratt of Amsterdam; four grandchildren; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at McHoul Funeral Chapel in Dorchester on November 24 and mass was celebrated at St. Margaret's Catholic Church, Dorchester. Burial was in Bourne National (Military) Cemetery in Cape Cod, MA on November 27. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Fund."
