On 4 Jun 1844 were married Patrick Purcell, farmer domiciled in this parish, son of age of Christopher Purcell and Honor Higgins of Ireland on the one part, and Anne McDermoth of St-Alphonse's annex at Kildare, minor daughter of Thomas McDermoth and Nancy McCawly of Ireland on the other part. Witnesses were Christopher Purcell, father of the groom, William Smith, friend of the groom, Thomas McDermoth, father of the bride and Michael Barrett.
