      SANDY CLAPP AMMON, ID -- Sandra Kaye Clapp, 58, of Ammon, died October 5, 2007, at her home from complications of cancer. She was under the care of Hospice Alliance. She was born December 5, 1948, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Clyde Daniel Smith and Kathryn Summers Smith. Her father was killed in the Korean War when she was two, so she was raised by her step-father, Alma Cleverley. She grew up and attended schools in Ririe. She married Leland Robert Clapp on February 20, 1970, in Rigby, Idaho. They made their home in Fort St. John, British Columbia, Canada. They owned and operated the Charlie Lake General Store and Mukluk Trading Post. They retired to Idaho Falls in 1995, where Sandy trained and worked as a CNA for nine years. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved doing genealogy and served as the family history librarian for several years in the Fort Saint John Branch. She enjoyed crocheting and crafts. Survivors include: Husband: Leland Clapp, Ammon, ID Daughter: Tonya (Rick) Radley, Pleasant Grove, UT Daughter: Lorna (Bert) Holland, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Karl (Mary) Clapp, Marion, IA Mother: Kathryn Cleverley, Rexburg, ID Brother: Rodney (Sheri) Cleverley, Rexburg, ID 8 Grandchildren & 5 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father; step-father; and two brothers, Stephen and Gary. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at the Ammon LDS 5th Ward, 2055 S. Ammon Road, with Bishop Brian Hobbs officiating. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe Cemetery.
