    • On 4 May, 1897, at Rawdon, Montcalm, Quebec, Canada, in a fit of insanity, he murdered his sisters Elizabeth, Anna and Ellen, and his brother Patrick, aged 17, 15, 11 and 9, respectively. He was executed at the prison of Joliette, Joliette, Joliette, Quebec, Canada on May 20, 1898 for his crimes.
