Annette taught for over 33 years at Plamondon, Lac La Biche, Legal, Morinville, St. Paul, Coal Valley and Edmonton. Jean Tremblay, her husband was also a school teacher. When they moved to Coal Valley in the mid 1940's he trained to become a First Class Stationary Engineer. When the mine closed in 1955 they moved to Edmonton. Jean then worked in the boiler house of the Namao Airforce Base until his retirement. Even after his retirement he worked for several years during the sugar beet season in the sugar plant in Taber, AB.
