      Mary M. Desrosiers
      NORWICH, Conn. -- Mary M. (McGrath) Desrosiers, 71, of New Bedford, died unexpectedly Monday, July 30, 2001, at William W. Backus Hospital. She was the widow of Omer J. Desrosiers. Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late James P. and Ellen L. (McGreevy) McGrath, she lived in New Bedford all her life. She was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church, North Dartmouth and a member of her church's Ladies Guild. Mrs. Desrosiers was a self-employed home day care provider for 20 years until her retirement. She previously worked at Star Store in downtown New Bedford. She was most recently employed as a weekend receptionist at Alden Place, Fairhaven. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School. She enjoyed the theater and traveling. Her two biggest loves were her family and children. Survivors include three sons, Paul M. Desrosiers of Acushnet, Thomas P. Desrosiers of Lowell and Steven J. Desrosiers of Fall River; and nine grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Helen Starkie. Her funeral Mass will be at 9:45 a.m. Thursday in St. Julie Billiart Church. Burial will follow in the Veterans National Cemetery, Bourne. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
