Koons Chevrolet— Until the business was bought by Vaughn Koons Oct. 13, 1952, the Chevrolet garage was known as the Owl Garage. The corporation was organized in 1920 and erected the garage building, opening for business in 1921. In 1928 the corporation took on the Chevrolet agency. The three original incorporators were Dan Scott, George Currie and George Coffey with the later managing the business. In later years, Jim, P. S. and George Coffey bought out the other shareholders.
