      Obituary

      Ann V. (McKenna) Golen, 75 of New Bedford died May 14, 2017 peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness.
      She was the wife of the late Lenard R. Golen.
      Born and raised in New Bedford, the daughter of the late John J. and Veronica R. (Lyons) McKenna, she lived in Uxbridge, MA before returning to New Bedford in 2008.
      She enjoyed family gatherings and scrapbooking.
      Survivors include her son, Scott Golen of New Bedford; 2 brothers, John McKenna and his wife Ann and Charles McKenna and his wife Kathi, all of New Bedford; a sister, Elizabeth Lajoie and her husband Charles of New Bedford; 3 sisters-in-law, Joelle Sladewski and her husband Eugene of Wareham, Lorraine Murray and her husband Ted of New Galilee, PA and Theresa Sparling and her husband Brent of East Freetown; and several nieces and nephews.
      Her Funeral will be held on Friday, May 19th at 8 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by her Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 9 AM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, May 18th from 4-8 PM.
