Married to Edward Delaney in Cobleskill on March 23, 1870. The family lived in the area of Schoharie Co. for several years. They moved on to Troy, in Albany Co., then in 1885 they moved to Eaton with a surname change to Purcell, the maiden name of Edward's mother. The reason for the surname change is probably due to alleged criminal activites. Edward and Myra had four children: Edward J., Charles T., Stanley G. and Myra E. The family farmed in the Eaton area.
