Harley S. Loveless

Harley S. Loveless, 94, of Baldwinsville, passed away Wednesday at home. He was a native of Baldwinsville and a graduate of Baldwinsville Academy. Harley was a pilot in the Army Air Corps throughout WWII, during which he flew a C47 through the China-Burma-India (and Himalayan) Hump. He was honorably discharged as a captain in 1945. Harley helped run his father's farm and slaughterhouse. He retired from Centro and also drove bus for the Baldwinsville School District. He was a member of VFW Post 153, American Legion Post 113 and the Hump Pilot Association. He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Evelyn Kerwood Loveless, in 2004 and sons Ronald Loveless in 1946 and Robert W. Loveless in 2010. Survivors: daughter, Linda L. (Wilfred) Bushnoe of Baldwinsville; sons, Raymond J. (Patti) of Baldwinsville and Richard H. (Sandy) of Port Byron; daughter-in-law, Barbara A. Loveless of Savannah, GA; 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Services: 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Falardeau Funeral Home, Baldwinsville, and 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Baldwinsville. Burial: Riverview Cemetery, Baldwinsville. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, 93 Downer St. Contributions: Breast Cancer Research or Hospice of CNY.
