Entered Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet in 1884, professing her vows in 1896.
Per Sr. Anne L. Clark, Archivist, Albany Province of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondolet (2/17/03):
Her necrology reads as follows:
Sister Agnes Clare Broderick died at St. Mary's Home on the 15th of February in the thirty-seventh year of her age and the twelfth of her religious life.
The short, but well-spent life of this dear Sister was crowned by a holy death. By her child-like obedience and devotion to duty, her gentleness and spirit of self-sacrifice she became a subject of edification to her Sisters and greatly endeared herself to them. A faithful, zealous, and devoted worker, our dear Sister had many opportunities of doing good among the children confided to her care. Fortified with all the blessings of our holy religion, she awaited with loving impatience the blessed moment that was to unite her eternally to her Heavenly Spouse. "Being made perfect in a short space, she fulfilled a long time." | Broderick, Margaret Catherine (I38)

Per Anna DeLee Broderick to SMB, abt 1971, he was for a time in charge of the Jefferson St. RR crossing. Dad (E. S. Broderick) recalls helping him raise the gates.) Corraborated by E.S. Broderick, and by small notebook diary of JHD in my possession. Lived last on Eight St. Previously had lived on 15th St. Used to slide down the hill on a board in winter to attend 5:30 daily mass at St. Joseph's before going to work at 7:30. Died from complications of a fall.
Per Anna DeLee Broderick to SMB, n.d., he was Captain of the Stanton Steamer, Troy Fire Department. A tintype of him in fireman's uniform hung in her sunroom. While he was not listed in Troy F.D. records as a Captain of that company, he was a member, listed as a Trustee in the 1875 City Directory and as Assistant Captain in the 1877 City Directory.
Per E.S. Broderick, died at 1881 Ninth ave, Wvlt, where ADB was caring for him. Had a full beard. It was shaved at last stage of his care. Was laid out in front parlor; a neighbor lady urged my dad to kiss his grandfather goodbye, but he became scared, as he did not look at all like his grandfather without the beard. (Told to SMB on several occasions.) | DeLee, John Henry (I20)
